Kailah Trice is a Jamaican-American poet from Stonecrest, Georgia. She received her Bachelor of Science in sociology from Tuskegee University, and her MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Alabama.
She writes poetry for children inspired by her upbringing in both Kingston, Jamaica and the metro Atlanta area. She also writes poems for adults the center on intersections of her life, being a Black, child of an immigrant in America.
Kailah has been published in Poets Choice poetry anthologies, and several literary magazines. She is an avid speaker and has performed her poetry at the Pink Frog Foundation and Tuskegee University.
When she’s not writing or preforming, you can find Kailah being amazing at video games, cosplaying, or baking her favorite desserts.
